What are the passport requirements?
The U.S. Government
requires all passengers (including U.S. citizens) to have a valid passport
when traveling on any cruise. To make sure you are prepared at your
departure port, visit this
website,
www.travel.state.gov for the latest and exact
passport requirements.
What is the dress code aboard ship?
Casual attire is the
order of the day. We suggest guest wear
rubber-soled, low heeled or flat soled shoes while on-board ship
for better traction.
Dress codes for the
dining room are described below.
Men's Cruise Casual
Dining Dress Code: Sport slacks, khakis, jeans(no cut-offs), dress shorts,
(long),
collared sport shirts.
Men's Cruise Elegant Dining Dress Code: Dress slacks and shirt, sport coat,
suit and ties, tuxedo optional.
Ladies Cruise Casual Dining Dress Code: Casual dresses, casual skirts or
pants and blouses, summer
dresses, Capri pants, dress shorts, jeans (no cut-offs).
Ladies Cruise Elegant Dining Dress Code: Cocktail dresses, pantsuits,
elegant skirts and blouses, or evening gowns.
Wearing apparel not
permitted in the dining room:
Shorts, T-shirts,
beach flip-flops, bathing suit attire, cut-off jeans, sleeveless shirts for
men, and baseball caps.
Is there an ATM on board?
Guest are able to
withdraw funds and make balance inquiries on checking and savings accounts
while the ship is in port or at sea. Following is a list of major credit
cards and Networks accepted.
Honor, Tyme, Shazam, American Express, Magic Line, Oath, Mac, Master Card
(Cirrus for Non-U.S.)
Visa, (Plus), Nyce Pulse, Yankee and Alert.
There is a $5.50 fee per transaction for this service which is controlled by
the bank sponsoring the
Florida ATMs
Are there any luggage
restrictions?
Yes. Guests are encouraged to
limit their checked luggage to two suitcases per person. The suitcases
should not weigh more than 50 pounds each and not exceed measurements of
16"h x 24"w x 30"l.
Cruise lines luggage tags should be attached to each piece PRIOR to leaving
home. Guests should
check to make sure they are still attached when checking in.
NOTE: LARGE COOLERS RESTRICTIONS:
Carnival Cruise Lines does not allow
guests to bring large coolers on board it vessels. Small,
personal-size coolers no larger than
12" x 12" x 12" for the purposes of housing small quantities of
non-alcoholic beverages and/or medications are permitted as carry-on
luggage.
NOTE:
If you are traveling by air, please remember that each
airline has it's own luggage restrictions on the maximum number, size, and
weight of bags allowed per person.
Can I bring liquor on board?
Guests are prohibited from bringing
alcoholic beverages on board. However, guests
(21 years of age or older only), may bring one bottle (750 ML) of wine or
champagne
per person on board only on embarkation at the beginning of the cruise.
A $10.00 corkage
fee per bottle will be charged should guest wish to consume the wine in the
dining room or
a corkage fee of $14.00 if consumed in the Supper Club.
Guests may bring a small quantity of non-alcoholic beverages on board.
All alcoholic beverages purchased in the ship's gift shops or in
ports-of-call will be retained by the cruise line until the end of the
voyage.
Will I get seasick?
Probably not. Today's ships are
designed with stabilizers which greatly reduce the ship's motion. If a
guest does get car sick or air sick easily, they may want to consult a
physician about a prescription "patch". There are several
over-the-counter medications for motion sickness available at local
pharmacies.
